Feeding a watersnake

Mizar 21 May 30, 2004 07:16 PM

My small nerodia is around 23 inch now, i'm still feeding him with trout piece with some vitamin or calcium sprinkle and a occasional pinkye. One or two one square inch trout piece per week. Is this enough ? I'm not sure and i dont want to over feed him. How to tell if a snake is underfed ?

I handle him once every two week for a couple of minutes. He never show any aggressivity but dont like to be held. He's nervous and move a lot after a few minutes of handling. I guess that its normal ? I try to get some pics soon !
