I use a $50.00 setup from Home depot. It is a mister with 18 spray heads (used for cooling down patio areas - $30.00) and a battery powered timer that connects to a spigot or a hose ($20.00). I have it set to come on every hour for 3 minutes when it's hot outside and every 2 hours for 2 minutes when it's not hot.

It works wonderfully! I don't remember the name of the mister but it has a picture of a pool, an umbrella, and a family lounging around the mist. LOL.

I had been waiting forever to see those misting systems in home depot. The people told me they are seasonal and are not in stock until summer. I guess 99 degree temps arent summer at least in texas. I went to the sprinkler system and bought a kit for an outdoor sprinkler system. Lowes had a kit that came with almost everything I needed except a fine mister nozzle which home depot had. the system I bought was from www.misterlandscaper.com It works well with a few mods. I went ahead and set up two systems on seperate timers one that comes on and mists 3 times a day and one that drips for 9 hours a day. Just so you know I spent over $100 which I think is the price for some standard misting systems.
