Yesterday I was a bit bored, so I went out and got all sorts of potential food for "Charlie".
I got baby food (peaches, applesauce, and chicken),fresh peaches, kiwi, star fruit, and strawberries.
I chopped up all the fresh fruits and well, he wasn't impressed......... so I gave it to the crickets. He did lick a piece of star fruit, but kinda turned up his nose, hahaha.
Then I mixed up the peach and chicken baby foods, added a bit of T-Rex crested diet, and a touch of water to thin it a little.
I put his bowl in the cage,he walked over, looked in to see what it was and then went back to his log house.
He didn't eat until I picked him up and fed him my concoction with a handfeeding (bird) syringe. Then he ate about 5 ccs! He was happier sitting on my hand and licking drops from the syringe than eatin from his bowl.
What a weird gecko!
Does ANYONE else feed them like this? Or do I just have a spoiled brat?
Not that I mind, it's kinda cool actually.
Take cre,
Jen
