I have had four offers just recently. As soon as someone finds out I have snakes it seems they know someone that has a ball they want to find a home for.Ive accepted one and am considering a third but Im thinking this could get out of hand and Ill end up with a dozen bps..What would you do?

JMHO, FWIW, YMMV.

But do not tell them to take it to the humane society. The best advice would be to have them just contact a local herp society who can usually help find a new home for unwanted snakes. Later

I work in a petstore,so we get everyones neglected animals. It isn't just BPs i take in though, i have a 5 year old(but only one foot long) female Chinese Water Dragon who had such severe mouthrot her jaw was broken up to her nostrils. shes missing the end of her tail, and verious toenails. obviously we couldnt sell an animal like that in the petstore,so she came home with me. I also have 2 BPs that were dumped on us. ne was a 4 ft adult with mites, retained eyecaps, getitng ready to shed, was dehydrated(he actually did the shedding routine twice before shedding he was so dehydrated),and had various cuts and bruises,as well as an RI. phew! But now hes all better. Even my vet has been asking me lately if i want some BPs a customer is trying to give him. They all come in. All of my animals are hand downs that were in bad shape, one way or another. But theyre fine with me

I am considering taking in a third but I really, really want a boa and noone seems to have one of those as a rescue. I know I always see bps for sale at the pets stores here and thats why there are so many give aways. If I take in a third plus get a boa I will have to bump up my rat breeding which Im not so sure I want to do, they are a pain to care for, eat way too much(the rats I mean).
