vegie help !

I bought a bd about 1 month ago they said he was around a month and I he has just not been eating his veggies. I try to feed him them befor crix but he still dont even try and first i tried just pinch it and move it around and no intrest so then I had twezzers and moved it and still nothing so can u guys give me any idead ? thx for anything he eats many crix tho and calicum on them so should I care that much if he dont eat his veegies ? thx

I had the same problem. I ended up draping strips of greens over a low-hanging branch so my dragon could see them at eye level. He ate them readily.

In a thread below someone mentioned suction cups with clips on them. That might also work.

just like human kids, baby & juvi beardies want to eat very little vegetables. they need lots of protein to grow so if he's sucking down crix like a vacuum then thats fine. leave a bowl of salad out for him anyway, make sure its chooped nice and small.

what you can do is use a smooth sided bowl to serve the greens, and pour the crix into - they're too stupid to jump out and cant climb the sides. that way when your beardie goes for the crix he may get a mouthful or two of veggies also, and he'll learn that way.

He is still pretty young and may not take to them for a while. Just keep offering greens first every day, even if he won't eat them. It's an aqquired taste for some, but eventually they all go for the salads. Some just take longer than others.
