Finally a halfway decent (for me that is) pic of my Mexican Black Kingsnake

This little girl just keeps eating and growing. Never a moment of trouble out of her- knock on wood

Do you get musked when you pick her up? Such beautiful snakes for sure. One of my friends has a yearling. She doesn't bite but she sure does poop......ugh! Will she grow out of this behavior? She is handled a lot but continues on.

Once in a blue moon I'll hear a cloacal "pop" out of her if I really get her flustered but she's never actually musked me. She doesn't exhibit any of the typical juvenile snake defensiveness either. It's food (small f/t mice) and she eats it or it's not and she ignores it. I've even handled her after handling other snakes- dumb, but it happens some times while cleaning cages, and she doesn't act any different. I expected her to have a bit more attitude but she's been a perfect little snake. Hope your friends snake settles down, they usually do with age.
