hey i was just wondering if its okay to put a fogger and waterfall in my FBTs tank?
That's funny that you just posted this question. I just changed my tank setup today to include a waterfall. I don't have a fogger, but they seem to love the waterfall so far!
A waterfall is a great thing to have in your tank. I have one in mine. Be cautious with a fogger though...I had one inside of an upright hollowed out log and one of my toads got in and got zapped and died... So just be careful with it.
Best of luck!

can i cover it with mesh or some type of screen that is healthy for my toads?????
I think that is a good idea..I was thinking of doing that myself, but I haven't yet decided how. I'm sure that you could find some sort of screening to put over it that would not harm your frogs. I think we just need more information on foggers, because there was no warning label on it, and I am very sure that it is what killed my toad.
Does anybody have any info for this person???

hey i heard that if you have a fogger in your tank that you should not leave just flat out on the floor of your tank. the fogger causes the water to heat up way TOOOO high and the toads can not take this heat. i was told by a pet shop owner he told me to connect the fogger to a waterfall some how??? but yeah thats what he said hes gonna help me put my new set-up together.
I tried putting my fogger in my waterfall and it didn't fit. I also have a larger waterfall which I tried the fogger in, but it didn't work in there either, plus my frogs can get into that one. If anyone has any safe suggestions for using a fogger, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hey guys, I wish I could offer better advice than this but....I thought it was made to fit in the little compartment above the large resevoir on the large waterfall. It has a hole for the mist to come out of...????? I really don't know! But, that is where I had planned to put the fogger if I got one.

Maybe I just have a different brand of waterfall than you have or will get! I think mine is the Exo Terra brand or something like that. Basically the problem with it was that even after enough fidgeting around with it, and finally getting it to fit, the fog wasn't coming out like I thought it would. None was coming out at all. Plus, with the larger waterfall, my frogs were easily able to get inside of it, and they would have gotten zapped.
Another problem I found with the fogger is that it sprays water, so sometimes I would just take the bottom of the waterfall and fill it with water to make a water bowl of sorts, and the water would be just spraying out of it! I was able to fix it by putting a log over it so that the water would hit the log...but now I would be worried about my froggies getting zapped by it!
WELL LADIES AND GENTLEMEN I HAVE SOME VERY SAD NEWS TO ANNOUNCE 4 OF MY FBT'S GOT OUT OF THEIR TANK AND 1 WAS STEPPED ON BY ACCIDENT AND THE OTHER 3 ARE M.I.A (MISSING IN ACTION) PLEASE PRAY I FIND THE I ONLY HAVE 2 LEFT IN MY TANK AND I MISS THEM VERY MUCH!!!!!
Ultrasonic foggers do not produce much heat, so there is no need to worry about that.
They can harm your frogs, toads, or even your finger. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but suffice it to say that it will damage flesh similar to what a burn would do. It hurts like a burn, too (I know from personal experience). -- But there is no heat involved.
As long as you don't mind water droplets spashing all over the place and also as long as you can isolate the fogger in such a way that your toads cannot come into close contact with the top of the fogger (where the stream of water and fog is generated), you shouldn't have any problems. I've toyed around the with the idea of buying something like chicken wire - a large-gauge mesh that can be bent and formed into a protective barrier to keep toads and fogger separated. I'm sure it would work; the trick will be to make the mesh gauge as big as possible so as not to hinder fog dispersion, while keeping the gauge still too small for the toads to fit through.
I personally love the look a fogger produces, but hate the water droplets that will pretty much dampen a tank too much after a few hours. (Humid mist is one thing, but spashing drops of water is quite another, in a terrestrial setup.)

I ahve never heard of a water fall in a fish tank. and from what i figure a frogger makes frogs sound or something, but i wanted to ask about the water fall. Doaes it filter your water when its on? I know frog would enjoy having them but im gona to get a 10 gallon and i thought that would be cool to have. Would they fit a 10 gallon tank? and how expensize are they?Would they be damgerous to fish?
