I just moved to Ohio and I am having a hard time finding a good source for mice and aspen. This is my first snake so somewhere that would be good at handling stupid questions would be a bonus. Is there anyone that knows the area that has any suggestions for a good place to try?

Thanks

I just get my aspen at Walmart. If you want bigger bags than that you'll probably have to go to a feed store, because none of the petstores carry larger sizes that I've found.
I get my frozen mice at the All Ohio show, which is held every month. The address is below. They're pretty cheap and you can get any size you want.
If you want live mice... unfortunately the only store which has them on a regular basis is pretty seedy and its hard not to just kick the employees. I'll tell you how to get there if you want, though.

Thanks for the info! I think I know which store you are talking about, I went there once and it was horrible, poor animals! I will never go back there. The All Ohio show is just round the corner from me so I will be sure to check it out. Thanks again.

I hope we're talking about the same one, I'd hate to think there were two! The one I'm referring to is on the corner of Morse and Cleveland.
Stupid Calabar burrowing boa... if it weren't for her, I wouldn't have to go there. (She eats live pinks exclusively. She is three feet long. You see my dilemma.)
There are some really nasty Petlands around town too, though.

Same place! I watched them sell a guy an alligator and as he was about to walk out the door with it he stops and asks what he should feed it!?!! Scary! Sorry you have to go there. Thanks again for the show info.
