This may help...this is what I have done for the tiny red mites. Remove all th sand from your tank, and thoroughly clean/replace it. Basically start over.
I use olive oil, and swab it over the entire lizard...avoiding the eyes of course. If the mites are in the armpits, and other small folds of skin, just saturate the area with oil. It will clog the breathing prores of the mites, and suffocate them.

Also you can try Retile Relief, I use it and it is safe on the lizards, does not harm them , and is not TOXIC like some .
It is even being considered for human head lice! I now keep it in my lizard care arsenal.
The oil works also! Good luck let us know how ya make out!
