you get these people writing books about max lengths and so on but thats all jiberish. Its like this, if you see 100 BT's or any monitor for that matter raised under the same conditions the sizes will vary, so the question should be what is the average length. See thats the only question that can be answered with any certainty.

They range in size because of many reasons. One big reason is improper husbandry and animals that dont live more than 6 months to a few years. Their diet and their ability to use their diet is the biggest factor, if they eat alot and can make use of it they will grow bigger than others, but their genentic possibilities are 5-7 ft. Most references in books are from authors of monitor books not actual monitor keepers. Ive heard of 2 males 7ft 3 inches, one I saw, Ive seen a 6ft 6inch male, and a male and a female at or just beyond 6ft. They grow throughout their lives so its hard to really put an absolute figure.
