I have had Hogs since 1997 or maybe 96. I have never bred any hogs. I keep them as pet snakes But these two I want to give a shot. The female should produce a nice clutch

How's this?

This female is 34 inches long and weighs 780 grams. The photo was taken a few weeks ago.

I also have two other females that are well over 600 grams.

Hey Ron,

Just a big normal gal.
She's a wild-caught female from near Lubbock, Texas.
She was about 20 inches and 180 grams when I acquired her two years ago.

I think she has a shot of hitting two pounds. Question is, will she reach 3 feet in length before that time?

She is a monster. I forget just how big these little snakes can get. Nice job, how many eggs has she given you?

She's opaque now. Last year she laid two clutches of eggs 28 days apart. One of 20 eggs and the other had 17. I hatched 35 healthy babies from her.

I had another female lay 29 eggs (one clutch!) this year. Many of them were infertile, however. There are eight that remain viable at this point (a month later). This female is getting ready to lay her second clutch. Hopefully, there will be better fertility this time around.

Another female I have that is a sporadic feeder and not fat (about 270 grams) laid 19 perfect eggs this year. Sometimes big is not necessarily better.

Mr. Lazik, I'm a big fan of yours. Especially with your carpets that you used to breed. Now you have amazed me with your hogs. Keep up the incredable work.

He is from 1999 and is about 60 cm (two feet).
