How long?

Vernooyboy Jun 01, 2004 05:04 PM

My Cal king has been laying eggs since the night before last. She laid 2 good ones and 1 slug. Then last night she laid two more. They also appear to be healthy. Today she laid 1 so far about an hour before this post. I was just wondering how long it usually takes and if this is somewhat normal to lay the eggs so far apart.

Thanx
Scott

Hey Scott,

This is about the fourth time in the past ten days this sort of question has been asked so I'd like to offer a few tips to all forum users who might see this:
1) Be sure to read maybe a week's worth of threads when you get a chance, before posting a question, you may find the answer's already there.
2) To give good answers to your question, people on the forum will need to know when your snake had its pre-laying shed. If you'll add that information here we can better answer your question.

The short answer to your questions: Depending on when she shed, it's fairly typical and nothing to worry about, the rest of her eggs are probably forthcoming, OR it's an atypical laying pattern and cause for concern.

peace
