Shedding and runny stools........

SpikeNSquirt Jun 01, 2004 08:23 PM

We have had a small juvinile for about a month now. She started to shed last thursday. I made sure the humid hide was nice and moist and went away for the weekend. When we returned last evening she still hadn't shed, so I re-moistened the humid hide and went to work. I came home this evening and she still hadn't shed. As I looked in on her she had just finished a bowel movement. It appears very runny and mucus like. Can shedding stress lead to runny stools? I looked around on the search part of the forum and couldn't find anything that talked about this.

Also I soaked her in warm water and have managed to remove most of the shed skin, but her head wouldn't get wet enought to facilitate removal. It looks as if her eye has shed skin in it. Messing with her was really stressing her out so I am going to leave her be for a little while.

Thanks
Tony
