oh my gosh...ddhartson...I did absolutely DID NOT intend that specifically for you. I actually started at the bottom of the webpage and worked my way up and after seeing a few of these threads, I posted which, by total coincidence, is word for word what you typed and I did not mean it to be that way....its just the first phrase that came to mind and I certainly did not want you to think I was singling you out since your circumstances are obviously much different....once again sorry.

I think it's cool that newbies are breeding ball pythons, accidentally or not. Sure it would be best if everyone was prepared ahead of time.
Randy, Is that what it mainly is? Newbies accidentally breeding them with little or no preparation or experience. hmmmm...interesting....
"Randy, Is that what it mainly is? Newbies accidentally breeding them with little or no preparation or experience. hmmmm...interesting...."
Who would YOU suggest is asking questions about the correct husbandry requirements for eggs...???
Experienced breeders...???
Or folks who do not know how to care for eggs (i.e. "newbies" )...???
Surely you aren't suggesting that experienced breeders are asking these questions...???
If you are an expert in the care of ball python eggs...
And you know everything that there is to know about the husbandry requirements...
And you find "How do I care for my ball python eggs" posts so irritating...
Why do you bother reading them...???
I'm not really sure that I see any point to this thread of yours...
Other than perhaps to "stir things up a bit"...
Hmmmm...interesting...
LOL...

The purpose of forums is to share information and ideas, and occaisionally...opinions...like yours, Carl. A big thank you to those willing to share. Everyone learns a craft from the kindness of others, NO ONE insticitivly knows everything about everything....except Carl.
I guess Carl would rather have eggs laid just die because everyone who has had snakes breed that doesn't know exactly what to do is an idiot and shouldn't be considered worthy.
Gosh, Carl, I REALLY hope you don't have kids, because you'd probably beat them for not knowing how to clean their room correctly. (ever hear of "teaching"?)
Thanks to all the great breeders and novices willing to share here, you are saving lives and helping to educate others. When it comes time to purchase new animals, I definitely know who I will be patronizing and who I will be AVOIDING!
Think before you post people, you advertise your business through your professional etiquitte.
Just my thoughts,
Stevo
All I can say is I am glad there are so many people on this site willing to help us "newbies". I have a ball python of my own who was also a rescue from the wildlife center and I did tons of research before I got her so I would know exactly what she needed to thrive. This new snake and her surprise clutch left me needing advise fast so I could do what was best for her and her babies. You would be amazed at what comes up when you rescue animals from the wild (this snake was found in an alley behind an apartment building in a ten gallon tank next to the dumpster).
So thank you again to all of the wonderful people who have helped me. While I hold doubts as to whether my eggs are any good - I feel much better with the set up I have for mom and am leaving her to take care of her eggs (which she has yet to leave).
Thanks again!
