GETTING A CORNSNAKE,NEED HELP

hey guys im gettin a cornsnake soon,i have a 1 and a half foot tankat the momentwhich is one and a half high,im not sure how to heat it though,shuold i use a light bulb?(which wud be inside the tank,but high up)with a heat mat at night?or what?any other info appreciated,thanks

Buy an appropriately sized under the tank heater and put a hide box on both ends of the tank. Put the UTH on one end and the snake can choose where is wants to go.

This is probably the bible for corn snakes. You can get it from their web site. I think its cornutopia.com, or I have recently seen them popping up in pet stores also. This book will tell you all you need to know. Good luck with your new friend.
