Hay,
I've found very little info. on (Inclusion-Body Disease)about three year's ago i worked at a pet shop here in Nebraska, and we had 3 A.T.B.'s come in a shippment of W.C.'s they were neonate's from an Inporter from South Florida, about 1 week after they arrived I noticed one of them in the middle of the encloser his head was in a raised position stareing straight up then he would fall over, and then do it all over again ,I was just reading about IBD earlyer that week and i could'nt believe it,Star-Gazing they call it ,My boss never heard of it when i showed him the book he was concerned. The only info. i've ever read was in (Snakes A Complete Owner's Manual By Bartlet & Bartlet)We ended up putting all three snake's down. And they did have mite's when they arrived. And that's the only time i ever seen somthing like that, and i hope i never see it again !

Many times snakes will look up and try to reach higher point to grab onto, with an arborial snake like an atb i would expect it...when they reach higher than their body can really support, they fall. Star gazing is a symptom of ibd that usually is just aimless stareing straight up with no goal in mind.

No he was sick like i explained ,he could'nt keep his balance. And like i said they all had to be put down ,oh i left out earlyer they all showed the same simptom's within three day's They also had Tremer's like in Nerological, type simptom's i dont know what it was but what ever it was, was quik and all the simptom's from what i read fit (IBD).
