First hatchlings of the season!

AandBReptiles Jun 02, 2004 04:22 PM

Our first clutches of 2004 have hatched, shed and had their first few meals. Here are some of the sweet little BHB line butterscotch ghosts that we've produced. We've also got our first pastel clutch out and more on the way. We will post more pics as stuff hatches. Hope everyone else's seasons are going well!

Those Butterscotch Hypos are gorgeous animals!
Can you please give me an idea of how much money these morphs might sell for?

Sorry to be so blunt, but except for Albinos & Pieds, I have not been on top of the Ball Market. Your Hypos however have really struck my interest.

Many thanks,

Hypo's are one of the cheaper ball python mutations and can have a very wide price range. Generally speaking you could expect to pay about $1500-2500 for females and $800-1500 for males depending on quality. Hets cost between $500-1200 a pair depending on what line you are dealing with. I expect that hypo's will be a pretty stable market in years to come because of all of the combinations you can make with them. In fact the price has actually gone up a little bit from a couple of years ago. Hope this helps.

...a few ghosts myself in about 5-6 weeks. Doug Beard-line Butterscotch male to het female, 8 fertile eggs laid mid May. Last year this female laid 3 fertle/2 slugs when bred to a different Butterscotch male (my male didn't want to breed last year) and 3 hets were hatched. SHOULD prove out this female with 8 eggs!!! The seller of the het female certianly hopes so!
