Future Uro owner looking for good info

jmichalicek Jun 02, 2004 05:34 PM

Hello, I'm a semi-experienced herper (have owned a chinese water dragon, savannah monitor, and various smaller lizards such as anoles, a whiptail, and collared lizards) looking into getting a uro (haven't decided specifically what type yet) in the near future and am looking for good info.

Can you point me to any good caresheets? There's tons of caresheets out there, but it's hard to determine which ones are accurate or not.

Right now I am looking at using a 75 gallon aquarium I have for my uro. From what I have read that should definitely be enough for 1 (right? or was that from bad caresheets?) but would it be ok for two full grown uros? I'd like to get a male and female if I can provide them with enough room. With my current living situation a 75 gallon is as big as it's going to get, though, no room for anything bigger without getting rid of my sav (not gonna happen).

Thanks,
Justin
