Western Hogs are certainly more docile than eastern kings (which are pretty docile anyway). An eastern king will be a better feeder generally, particulary when you are talking about males. Female western hogs a chow hounds, just like eastern kings but some male western hogs don't eat as often as other snakes.

Of course, there is a huge size difference. A giant female W Hog won't exceed 36 inches (see the pic of the giant a few posts above this). An adult male eastern king (males are larger in kingsnakes) could exceed 80 inches.

Eastern kings are great. I have a wc, almost 20yrs. now, almost 6ft. Had many over the years. As far as temperment goes, not much difference between wc and cb. all are farely docile. As far as the hognose go, I haven't owned any. I know several friends that do. They love them, all are very docile.
