Anyone else ever receive unwanted insects with your cricket orders?

Squishy Jun 02, 2004 10:47 PM

I recently placed another order for 5000 crickets, well in one of the boxes there was this huge spider. It was about the size of a quarter and was tan with a black stripe down its back/belly. Kinda had pinkish looking legs.
Needless to say, I am terrified of spiders, so I had a heck of a time trying to kill it.

Did the black stripe look almost like a "fiddle", if so it is/was very venomous, called a fiddle back or brown recluse.

I would definitly call your supplier and let him know it was there. And IF it happens again, try to get it in a jar and ship it back! lol

I don't know what kind of spider it is but I use to work at a pet store and we would get them in there all the time. They are not a recluse however. Big ugly things. I use to kill them when I saw them and clean alot. Maybe try another supplier.
