hi, im new at chameleon breeding and im wondering, what does it mean if the female climbs on top of the male?
i have an 11 month old female and a male who is a year and a half. they are both in very good health and weight, with the male being a little larger.
when i put the female in the males cage she has the turquoise spots(actually they seem more like a pronounced green than a turquoise) and she does not turn dark at all. the male does his pretty colors and wiggles around a bit but does not try to copulate as far as i have seen. the female actually went and got on the male today (after my fifth attempt) and im confused.
the only thing i can think of is that she is infertilly gravid, but she does not look it and she is as light green as ever
what's going on?
thanks for any input
