I Have a Female Thayeri who is refusing food. We are now into the fifth week of her turning down food. I did not lower temps to brumate her over the winter, as I had no intentions of breeding her, yet.
So I took her to the petshop I purchased her from to speak with The snake expert on staff. She has been breeding her own snakes for years. Anyway, she said that it is not necessary to lower temps to start ovulation in the warmer climate snakes. As an example she cited her Boas, who breed without lowering their temps at all.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this with a Thayeri or other mex king?
Should I introduce her to a male? If I do will it make a difference?
Sorry about the long post....I am just getting nervous.
Thanx for reading.
