HELP sick gecko?

classklown Jun 02, 2004 11:57 PM

My baby leo hasnt eaten for about a week now. When i put crickets in there he seems to get scared and jsut closes his eyes, i tried mealworms as well to no avail. He ate the first week i had him, crickets. TOdy i was looking at him and noticed a black lump in his stomach, it wasnt hard to the touch....from what ive read this might be impaction, but he was kept on paper towel at the petshop i bought him and i have him on them at home as well....also he close his eyes when touched which ive read is a bad sign.
whats wrong??

How long have you had him? How old is he? If it hasn't been for long, then he might still be adjusting to his new surroundings & recovering from the stress of moving. Other than that, though, baby leos need to eat every day.

Closing their eyes when touched isn't really a bad thing.. My geckos will do that when they're relaxed.. I even have an AFT who'll arch his back where I stroke him, like a cat
