This is the first one we found (I hate squished snakes). To bad it was DOR, it was even prettier than the live one. There was one other DOR in the same area.

Both are beautys but to bad for the DOR. What part of the country did you see those guys .

It was in the North/West portion of the Mojave. I was actually suprised to see gophers there. Very dry, sandy, and sparse.
What roads do you hunt on? We cruise the mojave desert, I dont know what part you would consider it though. Lancaster road, 170th st west, munz ranch, etc. We mostly find mojave rattlesnakes, not gophers.
Jason, do your hatchling Yorba Linda gophers look like those?
