Nice looking Great Basin

There was so much traffic on the road I had to get back in the car to keep me and/or the snake from being hit. She didn't want to stick around for another photo once we pulled off the road.

This is the first one we found (I hate squished snakes). To bad it was DOR, it was even prettier than the live one. There was one other DOR in the same area.

It was in the North/West portion of the Mojave. I was actually suprised to see gophers there. Very dry, sandy, and sparse.

What roads do you hunt on? We cruise the mojave desert, I dont know what part you would consider it though. Lancaster road, 170th st west, munz ranch, etc. We mostly find mojave rattlesnakes, not gophers.
