or does it seem like a lot of suppliers have a difficult time telling the right sex of their phantasticus? at the reptile show in raleigh at the beginning of may, i found 2 females at the show, but neither supplier offered them as female, they told me they were male! honestly, i dont think it could be easier to sex these. the hemipenal bulge is quite obvious is most, and aside from that, you can usually look at the tail cuz the females will have more of a smooth-edged tail, while the males often have many notched imitating a leaf a big has chewed on. look in the classifieds for the recent post about the two male phantasticus from las vegas...is it just me or does it look like the one on the left has a smooth tail and no bulge? the one on the right looks like a male to me, mostly because of the bulge. the tail alone doesnt give enough information, though, because i have seen males with mostly smooth-edged tails. what do you guys think?
