Anyone ever have a problem with rats biting each other...

Im not really sure whats going on but i have a 1.1 couple whom i purchased together and have had about two weeks now and am starting to notice bite marks on the male. He has a chunk of fur/skin missing in a couple of spots including directly on the back of his neck. At first i thought he might have had mites and was biting himself but now its questionable.

Couple things I would think...
One, he is pestering a pregnant/tired girl and she is straightening him out. Two, he is scratching himself due to too rich of food. (I see this in adult males and almost no other time)If you are seeing/hearing the girl beating him then suspect the first. I tend to move my males around (have two boys and five groups of girls) so the girls aren't as likely to get sick of him anyway.
