Since the warm weather I've noticed my Kingsnake has been curled up in his/her bowl a lot. The temperature has gone up to 30. Is this the reason? Is she much too hot?

30°C is a little bit warm for most kingsnakes. I would try to get the snake's cage temperature down 5°C or so. A general cage temp of around 24-25°C is good. The warm end of the cage (over the heat pad/tape) can be around 30°, but the cool end needs to be lower.
And, yes, that's why it is in the water bowl.
