i brought my boa out today to clean her tank when i put her round my neck she seemed to spit out water just a little bit but water all the same and then she started raising her upper lip as if she was smiling but obviously not and you could see her teeth etc then she would close her mouth only to repeat this again
what is wrong with her,i love her so much and hope there is nothing wrong

hummmm, idk. whats the temp in her cage? if to low this MIGHT be a factor

Could it be a respiratory infection? Have you noticed it holding it's mouth open at any other times?
What was the consistancy of the spit?

Never had to deal with RI personally but it seems to come up alot...

Could also be a G.I Tract infection. This would also usually by associated with runny poop. Could also be a repiratory infection. Either way, a trip to a good herp vet is probably in order.

Had a retic several years ago. Started doing the same thing, then went to open mouth breathing, puffing bottom of neck. Took it to a vet, resptory infection. Several injections later and adjustment in temp, everything was fine.
