HELP!!! Problem with a breeder!

dmac77 Jun 03, 2004 05:31 PM

I've got a breeder snow corn that I just got this year. She dropped 23 fantastic eggs about three weeks ago. A day or two after she laid the eggs, she ate an adult mouse. Four days later, she ate two fuzzy mice and a day or two after that, she went into shed phase. She shed her skin and has since refused all food. It's been about two weeks now and she hasn't eaten a thing. She is losing weight and I'm starting to get worried. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to encourage her to eat? She has been drinking water like a champ, she just won't touch any food items I offer her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer...

Dave

Personally I wouldn't worry, she made up for it while she was gravid and now she will take a break from feeding, i perosnally would give it four weeks.

Dave you fed her about 3 weeks of food in 7 days.Just let her relax a bit before you start feeding her again. She will eat when she is hungry. There is no reason to powerfeed her.
