I think I know what road you are talking about SE of Brackett. I haven't been out that way yet, but Im pretty sure it is a farm to market road. Ill head out that way in a few days and see what it looks like, if anything, it would be a good place for annulata, great sandy soil.

Let me know if it looks worthwhile.

Just got back from a little Castroville backroads cruise, saw nothing. Looking for desert kings or another atrox perhaps. I don't imagine the options vary much more than those (besides cottonmouths-caught one of those near the river here before...not really my favorite pet). And Texas ratsnakes (found several this year). Not too found of those mean, smelly guys either (well adults at least). Babies are cute for awhile though. I pretend they are emoryis. lol
