DancingBunny18 Jun 03, 2004 08:34 PM

About a week ago I had 3 anole eggs hatch, one of the eggs was really big and brownish/red when all the others were little and white. Anyways the baby that came out of the brown egg is a lot smaller then the rest and his eyes are really big and he is constantly rubbing his eyes on whatever he can... he doesnt seem to be eating, we think he might be blind.. anybody know what it is???

Hello:
One of the major problems in dealing with baby anoles is that they dessicate very quickly. They are very small and do not retain much water in their bodies. The babies need to be misted a couple times a day and monitored to be sure they are drinking. it is important that the cage is not soaked as that could cause fungal problems.
Good Luck!!!
