Pics of my two JCP's, one 5 foot male, and one 8 foot female. The males head is almost hidden on the right, I'll post another showing both heads, but it turned out rather red.

I know of a few that large but just for the record, at least one of them in that pic is an IJ, IMO.

I agree with you, I didn't know they got that big... What is the longest on record>?
A big female like that needs a Granite Irian Jaya male, losta hets (I think, don't know the Gene)

Do you know about the traits for Granite? Simple Recessive?

Since it´s not proven yet, we can´t know for sure. However, I believe it is a recessive gene. The special pair that produced the Granites, have produced a total of 26 babies(2001 2002), and 6 animals have been Granites. This is app. 25%, as it would be if two heterozygous animals are bred together.

But thank you for assuming that I was talking about the 8 foot one. In fact, I can't tell the lengths from that picture, but if you could tell me how you did, I'd be awful thankful.

And that bottom one is STILL and Irian Jaya. Be it 8 feet, 5 feet, or 25 feet!
