I was told this was a Borneo can you guys help me with this ?

I Bought this snake about 4 months ago and was told it was a Borneo. I recently got a message from one of you that it looks to be a Sumatran. Either or, I still love the snake. But if you people could shed some light on it for me, that would be awesome....

Thanks in advance

George

Hey,
The photos are not great, but from the looks of it, I can see that it is a Sumatran Red blood. I'm sure others will agree with me. No offense meant on the photos!

Yeah, I know that the photos are not that good. I have an outdated digital camera, and 3 of the photos I tried to upload (that were actually pretty good) did not load.Evidentally too large of a photo or something, I must have to resize it. But thanks for your input on what you can see anyway, as I stated, I love the snake and can care less about its origin. But I don't like the fact that I was given the wrong info from the pet store I bought it at as they should be the ones more educated than I on this sort of thing.
Anyway, sorry about the long post and I love the pics of your bloods as well as the others that other people posted.

Hi,

Could you post a close up of the head, particularly the eye showing the scales? This should give a definitive ID. Elsewhere in the forum there is an article on the ID of the different species using scalation as a key.

Looks a very nice specimen, you must be very happy.

Cheers

Unfortunately the words "educated" and "pet store" don't mix...
