Adoption Centers in Canada

kev Jun 03, 2004 10:56 PM

Hey everyone, long time no talk. I've been dropping in from time to time to read everyones posts and view the great pictures.

Does anyone know of any adoption centres in Toronto that will take Collared Lizards? I have a couple of female Collareds I need to find a good home for as I'm moving overseas and can not take them with me.

Thanks.

Here's a picture of the two lizards. I'd love to take them with me but it's unfortunately a huge hassle to export them from Canada and then try to import them into the new country.

Go and find some shelters in your area, Canada!

You will have to do the leg work so to speak and inquire, but hopefully there will be one near you that could help.

Sorry you have to leave them, I wish you alot of luck, and also Hope you have a great trip!

Let us know how you make out, And again hope you can get some help !

Thanks for your note Eve.

I checked the kingsnake.com adoption page before I posted my message and the only Canadian listings are for cats, dogs, and birds. I've even asked my local Humane Society and they couldn't help me unless it was a green iguana.

I have an option to take them back to a store, but I'm concerned they'll be neglected as one of them was originally a rescue from a store.

if you did not find anything on the forum adoption website then here is a link of rescues and societies from melissa kaplan's page. maybe they can direct you somewhere. good luck finding them homes. where are you moving to?
