stimsons pythons

Can anyone tell me about stimson pythons as I have the oppertunity to get a pair in tradfe so any help would be appreiciated.I was told that they are rare is this true?also there are only 3 known breeders in the u.s.

They're not too common, but I wouldn't say they are rare. I have a pair that I'm breeding, Ric Sturm in San Diego has a few pairs and he produces quite a few. I know the Barkers have some and a guy in Phoenix I sold a pair to last year. Their are lots of people breeding them. You just have to be carefull that you don't get duped into buying spotted or childrens under the wrong name. They're great small calm pythons and very variable in color. Look for tall side blotches, almost banding, not spotting.
