Alright, i have checked books and sites and have found the min. cage size for an adult sav, but what do you all recommend? anyone have any good building instrtuctions? or anyone have pictures of different angles of their cage so i can get an idea of what to build? Thanks so much all!

I apologize if I am stating something that has already been said below. I tend not to read every post.

You have to get you a monitor that you will enjoy for a long time. It has to fit in your budget, it has to "blow your skirt up" (quote from FR). It has to keep you interested for a long time in order for you to remain committed to it's welfare.

I would urge you to consider ackies or some other small monitor. True they are more expensive short term but trust me I have ackies & salvators (water monitors) you will spend a heck of a lot less long term on an ackie that you will a sav. Not to mention the ackies personality out shines that of almost any monitor from the get go.

Email me if you like, we can discuss this until we are blue in the face. I don't mind a lot of questions, especially if they are geared toward making the right decision for the animal.

Or just keep the post running here but I have to caution you if the post start getting really stupid I tend to stop reading.

I missed the part about not wanting ackies..........

I agree with TK, look at flavis or argus flavi crosses. They are nice too.

It is still about what YOU want. I would rather have a mean salvator than a tame sav. Simply because salvators do it for me.
