Dan,
There could be a number of things causing that or it could just be a genetic thing.
As far as breeding goes, you may want to hold off until you're sure she's OK. Are you sure that she didn't already lay several eggs (without a break) before you got her? Some not-so-honest breeders will get 6-8 clutches out of their females and then turn around and sell them without giving them a recovery period.
Provided you're sure that she hasn't already been "worn out" for the year, I don't think I'd worry too much, as long as her calcium stores look good. Just keep an eye on that and monitor her weight regularly.

>>Here is the situation, i have a new 1.2 breeding trio and i introduced the 2 females about a month ago. They were both over a year old, and over 35 grams. No eggs have been laid from them yet, however one of the females has gotten 2 or 3 kinks in her tail. They are slight but definately noticable. I know that this may be a sign of calcium deficiency, but i have been given them plenty. I dust crickets 3 times a week, and mix crested gecko diet into their baby food. Otherwise she is chubby around the mid section and looks healthy. Has anyone noticed this with gravid females? Should I remove her before it gets worse? I appreciate anyones advice.
