I am 95% sure it is one of Moorish/Crocodile Gecko (Tarentola mauritanica ssp.) subspecies. They are an arboreal (tree)/rupicolous (rock-dwelling) species from Northern Africa (semi-arid). The general care you will find for Crocodile geckos will apply to him. If it is not T. mauritanica it is a darkly colored Tarentola (Sahelogecko) annularis; a "cousin" of the Moorish gecko. T. annularis or Four spot/White spotted gecko are found in the arid regions of Northern and Central Africa; they as well are arboreal. I still think it is T. mauritanica. Good looking out for the lil guy.
