Dear All:
My brother recently got hired on as an intern at the Parks Service at Lake Amistad. He has a degree in Cultural Anthropology from Texas State. He was talking to his boss today and overheard some other employees conversing about the herpetological studies going on this summer at the park. He immediatly stopped mid sentence and asked them if they needed any volunteers and told them about me. I am a bio/eco major at the University of Texas. They welcomed me to join their team and I will be doing population studies on the desert tortise around lake amistad!!! I am very pumped. I start in July. I'll keep everyone posted and let you know if I run across any alterna while I am out there.

But that is an envious gig. Do they need any more help? I'm pretty familiar with Amistad, love that lake. Taken my canoe there on occassion and camped in the back canyons amoung the crevice spinys, banded geckos and collards.
