does the amount of food matter???

i was wondering if it matters how much a bp eats for the best growth rate.....or it's all in each snake itself....because i see all these posts about having snakes reaching breeding size and they calm to feed it once a week....so if u got a slow grower and u feed it twice a week...would u still get the same result...and ur just wasting extra rats?

I don't eat a whole lot but put on the pounds while a buddy of mine eats like a frickin' pig and can't gain any weight.
