Major problem! Need help!

Collaredkeeper Jun 04, 2004 04:02 PM

When I got home today, I do my daily routine of feeding the lizards then taking them out for a run (even the babies). When I fed the adults, the female was acting wierd. She was somewhat more lazy trying to get the crickets. When I took the female and male out, the female seemed bloaded. She had no colorization as being gravid but seemed really fat. She was laying down on the sand and sprawled her legs out on the sand. She then was sqiuggling ( only word I could think of) her legs back and forth. I am not sure, but I think I saw the white tip of an egg in her, when I checked her out. She hasn't been digging at all either. She seemed to puff her chin up but was not trying to intimidate me. Could she be pregnant without having changed her colorization. Could She be IMPACTED!!! by the sand.
Need Urgent Help,
SCARED Collaredkeeper
hopefully this isn't abnormal.

normal, or has she NOT moved at all? I would not think an adult would be impacted.

It has occured, that females lay without the orange coloration. DC just had one lay with no warning !

Also some of mine will tend to get very chunky, a firm feel to them, FIRST, and then, get some orange splashes here and there. But do start out fatter as you put it.

Keep an eye on her, as it is the season and she has been housed with a male right?

The sqiggling was it just taking her back legs behind her and pushing the sand? If so my fattie females do that also.

Just watch her, thats about all I can say for now.

Also Are you sure she is not puffing herself to break her skin to shed? They sometimes do that too, puff out. And have no interest in eating for a few days!

Watch her, and let us know, I'll be around

It bounced back as undeliverable!
Glad shes doing better.

Maybe if shes eating so much, shes just ovulating, and will evenually show her nuptial blush (orange color).

Hope thats it !
