I love the look of these guys. I'll post some pics when I get them. Anybody have any thoughts, notes, or suggestions about keeping black pines?

If these are your first pituophis only last minute thought that past my mind was how is your credit score? Once you start keeping these you'll be thinking about a room addition for containing all the other pits you come across after.

Black Pines are great spirited snakes. Had a few that were such loud hissers they could wake you (well, at least my wife) from a sound sleep.

Update us when they get settled in.

*sniff sniff* I didn't find any at the show. Now I'll have to turn to another source, probably mail order. Anybody know of some good breeders of black pines? *sniff sniff*

OK, you guys are making me so jealous.
I was Ok with my Northerns, until I saw the Blacks. I felt that intense drive being soothed when I finally got a nice sized male Northern, and then you show me these Black beauties. I NEED one, now! Can someone help a girl out? (kidding)
Bovox, where are you getting yours? Are they babies, juveniles, adults? Can’t wait to see some pictures.

these are some of the best snakes to work with, IMO. Some people call them the poor man's indigo. No way. Definitely not knocking indigos but these are two entirely different animals, an experience unto its own. It is true, once you get involved with them, you will end up with a room full of them.
