LOL!!! Actually she is an emroy corn cross. Whenever she gets upset with me, she flattens her little head and tries to look like she has venom glands. She is just tooo cute!!!

He was purchased as a normal Tx rat. He is very light with those pretty bronze saddles. Most of the normals (adults) that I have seen pics of are ALOT darker. Does anyone know, will he change alot and get very dark, or will he stay lighter? Someone told me that he looked hypo. Any comments?

. . . many neonate and juvinile Texas rats. Never one like that. I'd say it's a hypomelanistic. Darned good lookin' animal. Congratulations. Find out about its parents and siblings if you can. That will help you solve the mystery.

Good luck,

Don

Here are some shots of something similar to the pic you showed us. It could be one of these. They're basically hypo. Texas rats.

The two snake within the red borders are a T+ albino and it was bred to the axanthic next to it. The baby above them hatched in that clutch.

Below, those are shots of the T+ albino above when it was younger. Sorry this image is so large.

When I purchased him at a local show, the guy sold him to me as a normal het for leucistic and "flame". I also have a flame female. BTW, do you sell those axanthic Tx rats? I would love to get one to breed to him. That is one absolutely gorgeous snake.

Killer baird Sparda. You and Jimmy almost have me convinced on getting a pair.I wonder if I toss the crib out and put in a rack,if my wife would notice?hmmmmmm....

Spardawolf Jun 05, 2004 06:14 PM

but you can always put them in your living room or in the bedroom with you guys. That is what I keep telling my husband, that I am going to move my BP viv to the bedroom to make more room for another rack system in the snake room.

With that bairdi being as young as it is and showing that much color, I bet it will be one beautiful adult. I can't wait to see how it matures.
You MUST keep us up dated

She really is starting to color nicely. I wasn't expecting much changing for awhile yet. The male isn't quite as colorful yet, but he is still somewhat smaller than her. I will try to get a pic of him this weekend sometime. (after the show tomorrow, who knows what I will come home with)
