Bittersweet Brazilian Bcc litter today...

DMexotics Jun 04, 2004 08:29 PM

Well, way too many slugs in this litter and it looks like a couple days too early but I think they should be fine. It always sucks when you consider what could have been but even one baby is better than nothing, LOL. Some of the babies have absorbed their yolk and others have not but they are all alive and kicking. Final count is 9 live atleast for the time being.

Congratulations on your litter sir ) If you are feeling discouraged think of all of us that read this board daily and are still working on getting their boas breeding size hehe and envy every litter we see. Your litter is particularly special as it is nojt a common locality. They seem to resemble my BCA somewhat but maybe I have had to much wine ) Grats again and I am sure you are having a hard time not handling them, already heh )

Well, when I was just getting started breeding snakes, I had no computer and internet was nearly unheard of, LOL. I guess in a way, I was spared the agony of being able to see success everyone was having aside from my local circle of snake enthusiasts. On the other hand, knowledge was much harder to obtain back then compared to how freely information can be shared now. Rest assured, seeing all the other litters always gets me going too. Thanks and I will post more pics after we get past this stage, hopefully after their first shed.

Hehe I have nothing really on you guys here on this forum that have been in the hobby for long years. Its a labor of love and I wish I can one day be so lucky as to do it full time. One the one hand you are very accurate as information is readily available, a good example being this forum where the highest level of expertise is available to almost any beginner. On the other hand there must have been a certain level of mystique lost when all became readily available. This is not to say that it is currently all readily available as we are still unsure of what certain projects will bring. As for me I have changed my mind 40 times as to what I plan to do with my money come time for Daytona. I think the large dollar amounts some of these clutches ultimately command is a handy built in mechanism for convincing the ole girlfriend of getting that pair of hets .. again But of course though we cannot possibly sell the neos as the next clutch is so much more valuable ) Hehe I like this hobby and enjoy it as their is that element of surprise and the unknown at times. To an extent it is uncanny how we can become so pationate about an animal that honestly feels no emotion toward us.

Good luck with those babies. I love Brazilians as well, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for each one of those little jewels to make it !!
