Question on logs

TheBigMacAttack Jun 04, 2004 09:36 PM

Ive had this wooden log for a year or two, recently its been sitting around, and i noticed it has some small bugs and fungus on it. So i am looking to clean this for use in a cage. after washing it, I have heard that you can put it in the stove? if so, about at what temperature and for how long?

I did some research and found i should bake at around 350 for 15 or so mins and keep a close eye on it.

I usually scrubbed my branches with bleach and soap and water. Most of mine were too big to bake. I did have flying anys hatch out of one that I guess I didn't clean well enough.
