new cages

mistysprouse Jun 04, 2004 10:27 PM

this is version 2 of my cages custom built by my dad. I have 3 cages each is 50"x17"x17" which has a divider that can be put in or taken out at any time picture show with divider in.

The cage has a glass bottom to allow for an UTH if need in the future. It is heated using radiant heat panels, but I will be upgrading to the Pro Heat Radiant Heat Panels that have been suggested on here in the near future.

The front has glass starting at the top and stops in the middle to allow me to look in and keep the snakes from seeing all the traffic walking buy at their level. The sides have 4 "slots" of Plexiglass that can be removed one at a time to adjust airflow and humidity as needed.

they are "supposed" to be radiant heat panels that can go in the cage. I have been told by people in this forum that there are better ones out there, so I am making do with those for now.

I could use a few nice enclosures myself and I'd make a cute 40 yr old son.

Nice looking cage. For ball pythons?. Do you find the heat panels you have heat the cage nicely?.
I have never used a heat panel but hear mixed reviews on them.
Either way nice looking cage.

yes they are for ball pythons. The heat panels I got are doing ok, but it took 2 to heat it when I thought 1 would work. I wanted something better and cheaper to run than lights, so I am giving this idea a try.
