Need to find a GREAT home for my iguana in the Florida area...

PhunkeyPhish Jun 04, 2004 11:56 PM

Hello,
I have had my iguana Boris now for 3 years. He was a rescue iggy with broken toes and malnurtured measuring 28 inches. Now, he is almost 40 inches long and looks very healthy. He is a male who is a sweetheat and has never been in a cage for the 3 years I've had him, except for a few days when he came on vacation with me. Very unfortunately I must find another home for him. I'll be starting my 2nd year of college in the Fall and my mother is moving into a smaller place where she won't be able to house my iggy any longer. Also, I feel that with me gone, there isn't much here for my iguana. I desperately need to find Boris a great home. Are there any expert iguana enthusiasts reading this whom can find a place in their hearts and homes for my iguana. My only conditions are that he is well loved, well fed, not caged up (unless we are talking a nice outdoor cage or a huge beautiful indoor cage) given the best care, meaning UV Heat bulbs and vet check ups etc. If anyone can meet these requirements the beautiful big male iguana named Boris is yours to have for no cost at all. My mother and the iguana live in Ocala, Florida, and I live in Sarasota, Fl. So if anyone lives anywhere at all near either city, you can either pick up Boris, have him delivered, or meet half way? Please help me out, I am desperate but refuse to settle for less than the best. Boris means the world to me and I must know that he will live out his life in peace and harmony.
Thanks so much,
Ian.
My e-mail address is 'ian.brooks@ncf.edu' Thanks!
ps. this posted picture was taken long ago. He is much larger and much more handsome now.

I am definately interested in your iggy. I live in Melbourne ,Fl. I have 3 healthy iggys and I take care of them. They are all my babies. You can see my pics. of them in the photo gallery. I am planning to turn my dinning room into a big iggy enclosure with separate cages. I have one free roaming iggy and I'm slowly letting my 2 year old iggy roam on her own a little more. The one that roams onle goes in his cage at night and he climbs in there on his own. I'll email you also for info.
