males and females in one cage

how many males and females do you think put in one tank cause i buying the tan one on the classified from steve on hold and 6 from gary crain 1.5 because my pet dealier think i shouldnt get 6 because my males may die from to much mating with different females and my pet dealer said that the females may not what to breed with the male and the males my hurt them and he said you should only keep a trio but i want to keep 2 male and 4 females in a 30L 18W and 24H cage can you guys give my your opinion on if i should get that many females and putting that many together

Which species of uroplatus are they, coz this will make a difference.

We keep 2 male phantasticus--3 females, and 1 male ebenaui--2 females in an all glass viv with full mesh top.The viv is 36L X 18W X 20H, we have not had any problems,the viv has lots of cover so the can avoid each other if they want to,hope this helps.
