looks great!! what ever ended up happening with you male->female het albino?

The more pictures I see of the males vs females I know now I can safely tell the difference by the tail. Yours has a long slender and the females short and stubby, and here my Nemo is therefore a Natasha lol I found a neat caresheet article on them here on the links above and it shows probing of both sexes, you can also see clearly the tail difference. Im satisfied with my conclusion!

" I know now I can safely tell the difference by the tail."

Its odd, after working with hundreds of snakes I still can not determine sex by appearance. It took me a few years to sex them properly by popping them.......

Sure looks like it. Did you buy him as a possible het pied?

gothpython Jun 05, 2004 11:59 PM

i bought him as a normal...but like i said, i have a good feeling about him. i had seen some really great looking females that i was going to get but i decided on him. he's around 200 grams more or less right now so he might be ready to breed next season...we'll see what happens.
thanks,
red

200 grams, so not this year’s CH. Was he from a breeder who is working with pieds (who isn't)?

gothpython Jun 06, 2004 12:46 PM

i bought him at a local pet store. but there have been success stories where people have gotten a wc pair from a pet store and produced pieds from them so you never know.
