Egg Shed question

SpecKing Jun 05, 2004 12:03 PM

My corn layed her eggs ( shes wild caught so I dont know if she shed before laying them) , but now she is shedding again only 2 days after laying eggs. Could she have layed her eggs because of stress? Normally they lay after their shed, why before this time?

I've yet to have a snake lay eggs for me, though one is due to lay in about a week, but I think I remember hearing that they usually have a shed after laying as well as before laying.

Yes they do shed after laying eggs. Mine laid last friday and is in shed now. I think a week is the norm but I guess there are always exceptions. Or, maybe she was just stressed although I would think she would hold on to them longer in that case. Anyone else have any thoughts?
